The Pop-Up Spa Glastonbury beauty low down
We’ve had a memorable first year working with The Pop-Up hotel team creating a Pop-Up spa experience in their boutique camping area situated just outside of Glastonbury. The Pop-Up Hotel and Motel are perfect for the more discerning festival goer who want to take ‘Glamping’ to a whole new level. We even spotted and chatted to Made in Chelsea stars Millie Macintosh and Hugo Taylor who were in residence loving the lavish Glastonbury festival experience.
One of our most luxury set ups yet, our fabulous spa area was equipped with hair stations, make-up and glitter zones, barbering chairs, nail booths and three therapy treatment rooms. In true spa style we had an exclusive outdoor pool and hot tub particularly ideal for the beginning of the festival when temperatures soared to a melting 34 degrees! The customers thought it was a wonderful addition, lying in the scorching sun with an ice cold Peroni dipping their feet.
As always, its all about glitter at Glastonbury! Back in 2015 we sawa shift in this trend moving from the more delicate face art to bucket loads of glitter – the more the merrier. Not only did we offer fabulous facial decorations, but we also looked after a few brave gentlemen who rocked the glitter beard look. We made sure to incorporate glitter into many of our styles and treatments we were loving the glittery space bun, a magical addition to any festival look.
Due to the haphazard weather we’ve also been flat out on up do’s and precision plaits. Braids are perfect for greasy festival hair – the dirtier the better ! And they are super durable making them the ideal style trend to survive the downpours and flying beer cups. The most popular styles were a Dutch braid into a fish tail, Mohawk plaits and a faux hawk up do created using buns.
As important as it is to beon trend, you cannot forget about relaxing and unwinding over what is a long weekend. Many people found the luxury Complete Revival massage which is an hour and a half perfect to ease hangovers and the aches and pains of festival life. Our full body rub downs and facials were offered alongside the more holistic Reiki and reflexology going down a treat with weary festival heros.
We loved the customers at this event and cannot wait to beautify them all again next year !
