Models, celebs, VIPs and press enjoying perfect pampering with Batiste, Miners Cosmetics and Red Carpet Manicure products
High Street Fashion Week this weekend showcased the best of British. As well as gorgeous summer fashion, glamorous jewellery and lustworthy shoes and accessories, Vanity Van (www.vanityvan.co.uk) was also on hand to give hair and beauty tips, conduct all the hair styling and make up for the catwalk models and provide complimentary treatments and goodies to visiting VIPs.
The event was in two parts. By day, guests could visit Vanity Van’s pop up salon and shop till they drop at Boxpark Shoreditch (www.boxpark.co.uk); by night, Aura Mayfair (www.auramayfair.com) hosted the evening catwalk shows and the VIP experience. Both venues were fantastic and contributed to the party atmosphere throughout the weekend.
Celebrities enjoying the catwalk and after-party included The Overtones, Abigail Clarke from TOWIE and the uber-glam Made In Chelsea crew. Andy Jordan, Stevie Johnson, Lucy Watson, Ashley James and Josh Coombs enjoyed the red carpet treatment on Friday, while Take Me Out’s Chanelle McCleary showcased some skyscraper shoes while enjoying Saturday’s show. Andy Scott Lee and his Big Brother girlfriend, Lydia Louise, were also there to get ideas for their summer wardrobe.
Brands on show at High Street Fashion Week included Lillies Of The Alley, Frills By AD, Elisha Francis, KP Boutique, Roxie Sweetheart, Lipstick Boutique, Smeidi London, Chic And Geek, Cat A Cake Creations, Glitzy and Glam, The Holiday Boutique, Filthy Sexy London and Zoieanne.
The Vanity Van VIP area was fully booked from start to finish, with hot new products being used and gifted. Batiste (www.batistehair.co.uk) sent both their hero products and the hottest new releases from their summer hair range. This includes Batiste XXL Plumping Powder for gravity defying styles; Batiste Smoothing Conditioning Mist for tired out or over-styled hair, perfect for models and party-hopping VIPS; and Batiste Strength And Shine dry shampoo, an excellent product to use daily – there is no excuse for limp, lacklustre hair this summer!
Celebs and VIPs also received a handbag-sized Batiste Cherry dry shampoo to keep their look fresh throughout summer. The delicious scent makes this product perfect for late nights, long days or festivals.
For model and VIP makeovers, the Vanity Van team used Miners Cosmetics (www.minerscosmetics.co.uk), another great British brand. Their summer releases are perfect for glam nights out and festivals. Their new personalised-colour Mood Gloss is available in Glastonberry and Peace Pout – perfect for your summer of love. At High Street Fashion Week, guests were treated to the new Miners Maxi Mascara – waterproof AND volumnising, it’s the perfect day-to-night lash booster.
Manicures were in demand from the guests after each catwalk show and the Vanity Van team ensured long-lasting results by teaming up with Red Carpet Manicure (www.redcarpetmanicure.co.uk), the world’s first at-home gel polish manicure kit. The LED light included in the kit sets the polish with no waiting around for fear of chipping or smudging nails. The hard-wearing, glam results went down a treat with the fashion-loving High Street Fashion Week crowd.
Next up for Vanity Van, a summer chock-full of festivals, starting with celebrity pampering at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Northern Ireland at the end of May and featuring a large scale public salon at the infamous Glastonbury.
