London Fashion Week has officially come to a close, and with it, a whole new set of hair, make-up and nail trends to set the tone for Spring/Summer. From how to elevate a tired hairstyle with staple hair accessories, to how to rock an electric, neon nail, this season’s backstage beauty offerings definitely didn’t fall short. Vanity Van is giving you the ultimate rundown on all of the best hair, makeup and nail moments from the runways, plus our personal favourite beauty looks from London Fashion Week.

Hair

In case you haven’t heard, hair accessories are the styling staple to watch out for this season. From puffy headbands, to head wraps, and jewelled hair slides, London Fashion Week was dotted with signature hair accessories, and Simone Rocha is the designer that we all need to thank. The accessorising trend has been gaining momentum over the past few seasons, with Rocha’s SS18 runway playing a huge role in making the effortlessly feminine hair clip coveted by all. With designers such as Michael Kors and Anna Sui taking Rocha’s lead and giving their runway a regal vibe, the hair clip is sure to be a party season staple for us all in the Spring/Summer season.

London Fashion Week Colin Horgan On/Off X Graphic EyeMakeup

From fresh, glowy skin to nude lips, natural simplicity is usually the go-to at London Fashion Week, but this season, it looks as though the exaggerated look is reigning supreme. With bold shades taking the spotlight on the eyes, this season’s runway looks were nothing but simple. This look from the Colin Horgan On/Off X show during London Fashion week is proving that the bold, graphic eye trend that was all the rage last season is here to stay. Give your everyday eye look a splash of the 80’s whilst keeping the rest of the face natural to create the perfect balance of minimal and daring.

Nails

Nail art is always a runway staple, and London Fashion Week has served up a plethora of fresh nail inspiration to obsess over. Neon is always trending in fashion, and now, it’s extending to your manicure. Nail artist, Mei Kawajiri, worked her manicure magic to create this design for the Philipp Plein show. You can achieve this neon nail look with a simple coat of electric gel polish, or if you want to put your manicure skills to the test, try out a daring nail design. Whether you’re searching for something exaggerated, playful, or daring this Spring/Summer, this energising nail trend is perfect for everyone.
